  New Members

New members are always welcome, all that's really needed is a love of singing and the motivation to attend rehearsals regularly. Whilst the ability to read music is an obvious advantage, it is by no means essential. With membership now being open to "anyone of good standing", roughly half of the choir you see today have no direct ties to the police service.

The choir is split into four sections - First Tenor, Second Tenor, First Bass and Second Bass, ranging respectively from highest to lowest voices. If you don't know where your voice fits, our Musical Director will soon sort you out.

The choir is always looking for suitable new members, and potential recruits are always welcome to visit our rehearsals which are held Aykley Heads Police Headquarters every Tuesday evening at 7pm (except during July and the first two weeks in August).

Why not contact the Secretary for directions, and pop in next Tuesday evening and join in a rehearsal. We have current members ranging from accomplished musicians who have been singing for years to those who have just joined, and can't read a note of music. You can be sure of a warm welcome wherever your abilities.
